The five questions that determine if you have been successful in an interview

During a job interview, the interviewer asks some ad hoc questions that must be answered promptly and sincerely; your answers are important since they decide if you will be hired for the job. So what are these big questions? These are usually standard questions, which are essentially summarized in the following questions:

  1. Tell me a little bit about yourselfinterview
  2. Why would you like to work here?
  3. What are your weaknesses?
  4. Where do you see yourself in five years?
  5. Why do you want to leave the company where you work now?

These are simple questions that must be answered in a targeted and effective way. When you talk about yourself, highlight your career path and avoid hobbies; when you answer on why you want to work in that particular company, show your knowledge and love for the company and the sector in which it operates, and leave out reasons of an economic nature; reveal your real weakness and do not say that you don’t have any, because in this case most of the time your interviewer will not believe you. When you answer the question of where you see yourself in five years, show yourself as
ambitious and determined, but without talking about absurd and unattainable goals. Regarding the motivations that push you to leave the place where you worked, avoid speaking ill of the former employer, workplace and company and say that you are very interested in the company for which you are holding the interview. Also, remember to demonstrate that possess all information on it. If the interview takes place after a period of unemployment, do not try to give too many explanations and say instead what you learnt from your previous experience. Do not forget to practice, practice and practice in advance what you have to say. Remember to speak briefly, listen and answer your interviewer carefully!
