Health and wellbeing specialists, ROAD Communications is looking for a bright and enthusiastic PR intern to join their busy team. Key requirements for the role: - Strong written and verbal communication skills and a keen sense for what makes compelling news - Creative: as part of the role you will be involved in writing copy for marketing materials and press releases.
On top of this, your work may involve contributing to the ideas stage of planning a campaign. - Have a keen interest in health, well being and science - Efficient and conscientious - you will be supporting the team with multiple projects simultaneously, such as working with the team on events, writing press releases, and creating media kits and supporting digital campaigns. - Enjoy consuming various media e.g. national newspapers, women's magazines, blogs Our location: ROAD is based in west London near Hammersmith Broadway. ROAD's past and present clients include Nivea, Pfizer, Elastoplast, Jan Marini Skincare, Smith & Nephew, Hidden Hearing and Scope Ophthalmics.
Managing media lists, supplying product samples, researching new business projects, drafting press releases, taking part in brainstorms and generally working to support the team.
Planning a media outreach campaign & forward planning
Pitching to journalists (consumer and trade)
Creating engaging content
Communicating and building relationships with current or prospect clients
Effectively utilise company’s social media and blogs
Creating and distributing press releases
Assisting in administrative duties
Building and updating media lists and databases
Scheduling / coordinating various events
Performing research and daily news round-ups for the team and clients
A bright, motivated and enthusiastic graduate, ideally with a background in science, English or journalism.
